A transcript you can keep and copy

Google Meet shows live captions on screen, but captions disappear as the conversation moves on, and saved transcripts are only available on some Google Workspace plans and to some participants. Call Transcriber gives you a transcript you keep, search and copy from, in every Meet call you join.

How it works with Meet

  • Any browser: Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Brave, Opera or Vivaldi.
  • Recognises Meet: when the browser tab is a Google Meet call, the call is named "Google Meet" automatically.
  • No extension, no bot: nothing is installed in your browser and nothing joins the call.
  • Two sides: your microphone and the call audio are transcribed separately, with timestamps.

Tip: if the Meet tab isn't the active tab when the call starts, the browser call is still detected and named after the browser; you can rename it in Call history.

Copy into Google Docs while you talk

Keep a Google Doc open for your notes. When something important is said, press Ctrl+Alt+T (their last message) or Ctrl+Alt+5 (last five lines) and paste with Ctrl+V. After the call, "Copy all" gives you the full conversation.
